A message from Peter Burnley Executive Headteacher
Ask me why St Chad’s is such a special, successful school and I will tell you that it is due to the fact that the children are placed at the centre of all we do, they always come first. We want the children in our school to be happy, safe, confident, enjoy learning and achieve their full potential.
Everyone, not just the children, see themselves as part of an effective learning community that works hard to achieve excellence – no one settles for second best.
When people join the school they become part of one big family, enjoying the real sense of community which that brings. Working together for the good of all, we form a formidable team.
Our motto ‘reflect and learn’, encapsulates our intention to identify the steps we need to take in order to improve our practice. Everyone at St. Chad’s sees themselves as a learner, keen to develop and enhance their talents, skills and abilities. No one ever stops learning here and each person is valued for their unique contribution.
We aim to develop independent, thoughtful, considerate, resilient community members, who reflect on what they do and take responsibility for their actions.
Finally, there is a genuine willingness to share what we have with others because we believe that when we give freely, we receive more in return.
