Governors Info & Duties
The governors at St. Chad’s play an important part in helping to shape the strategic direction of the school.
Governors take their responsibilities seriously by: practically engaging with the school; challenging leaders to evaluate the impact of their management decisions; and evaluating school performance.
An overview of their findings are reported to members in the Annual Trustees Report.
Governors share the school’s desire for excellence. They fully embrace the additional work the school undertakes as a Teaching School, National Support School and OLEVI designated centre.
The Governors also support the school’s focus on providing outstanding learning and teaching in order to secure the best possible provision for all children.
All Governors are volunteers with a particular skill set that they willingly share with school staff. Governors have focus areas of responsibility and meet with school staff to challenge, endorse and involve themselves in school development.
Governors welcome feedback in order to help them evaluate the impact of their work and modify aspects accordingly.
