Year 4/5 class trip to Uppermill museum

We had plenty of fun in the sun today, when we visited Uppermill museum.

We had been invited by the year 4 pupils from St. Thomas’s Primary School in Werneth, to watch their performance of ‘Milltown Memories’.

The children had interviewed local residents from Oldham, in order to learn about what life was like 50 years ago, and the important role the mills played in the community.

After the performance, the children from St. Chad’s were encouraged to meet with the children from St. Thomas’s and work collaboratively to discuss the theme of friendship, and what qualities a good friend has.

We even spotted some ducklings in the car park!
