Blessed Sarah – Actions speak a thousand words
Unassuming, gentle, kind, thoughtful, honest, attentive with a gift for making everyone feel special.
The significance of Sarah’s calling to work in Namibia and the fruits of all she has achieved are evident in the faces of all the people she meets and the demonstrative way in which they greet her. Sarah’s influence and impact is everywhere.
Meme spoke no English yet we understood every nuance of what she was saying through her body language; as she and Sarah embraced Meme danced for joy at the unexpected pleasure of their meeting.
The link is Sarah’s gift to the Namibian and English populous. She pioneered the work alone, which eventually led to numerous youth exchanges and the establishment of medical and educational programmes that have helped, and continue to help, transform the lives of so many Namibian and English people.
I am so grateful that on my first trip to Namibia I am ably supported by such a proficient chaperone Sarah Adams, the mother who birthed this incredibly fruitful relationship … in quietness and trust so shall your strength be.
