We are really enjoying learning new skills at school and making lots of new friends. We have been learning how to form our letters, communicate our own ideas through play, pictures and words. We have enjoyed playing and learning inside and out.
Through sustained shared thinking time we are linking with each other’s thoughts and are learning together in a supportive way. We have been sharing our thoughts on ‘Birthdays’ and ‘What is inside our body’ and ‘What we need water for’.
One of our friends brought in his favourite story, ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’, by Michael Rosen. After reading the book we decided to explore this story a little further. We created a bear out of play dough, we painted bears and bear tracks, we sequenced events, we retold and acted out the story. We like to plan our own learning and follow our own lines of enquiry.
