Seeing Namibia for the first time…
When I arrived in Namibia at 6.00am it was pitch black. As we drove towards Windhoek in our taxi dawn slowly started to appear until, eventually, the bright red orb that had effortlessly raised itself up from the motionless horizon, was hanging high in the sky … the dry, thorny listless bushland seemed to stretch, endlessly, for miles around.
I began to imagine what amazing creatures might be found living in the bush.
In a strange way it was as if the huge, expansive, magnificent Namibia was slowly choosing to reveal herself to me.
