More Forest School!

Just thought you might like to know what we got up to in the forest on Friday!

We went up to Dovestone in search of … a Gruffalo!

First, we ate our snacks (to give us lots of energy!)

Then, we created pictures using natural materials we found on the forest floor.  Can you guess which parts of The Gruffalo story we have illustrated?

Then, we experienced what it might be like trying to get around the forest at night.  We led our blindfolded partner along a rope through through the forest.  Our verbal instruction skills came in very useful!

Bronte was a brave volunteer.

Finally, our tummies were rumbling so we decided to head home, but …

… not without seeing a Gruffalo!

What a busy day!  We even made time for a quick practise of the songs for “Animal Rumble Grumble” whilst we waited for the minibus!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the parents who braved the cold and the slippy mud to help.

We all had an amazing morning!
