The children have been displaying high levels of energy and fascination, as they model a garden bird out of clay.First, they had to slap the clay on the table top, to squeeze out the air. Next, they rolled the clay into a ball. Then, they inserted a hole on the underside of their clay ball, to allow any remaining pockets of air to escape. After that, they set about modelling the features of a garden bird. They used modelling tools to add texture of feathers.
Finally, when they are all dry they will be ready for painting.
