This half term we are following our interest in minibeasts. This topic has taken our learning out into the great outdoors, to look for minibeasts in their natural habitats. We have selected equipment and resources to help us look at these creatures up close and find out information about them, leading to their classification. We turned over logs at Forest School, and looked closely under the leaf litter and new growth covering the forest floor.
We have continued our learning inside the classroom. We have used our knowledge of the features of minibeasts to write sentences about them.
We have painted beetles using watercolour paints after making several observational studies.
