    Water colour paintings of birds

    In the Foundation Stage we have been painting our favourite birds using water colour paints. We observed and copied photographs of the birds, thinking carefully about their shape, form and colour. We will be making more drafts to improve our technique and skill with a variety of media of our own choice.

    The Big Weave

    Children and their families engaged in weaving with enthusiasm and skill. Some have learnt a new skill and others have revisited one they learnt a long time ago!     Painting skills

    This term in art, year 3 and 4 have been learning about painting skills. First, we learned how to create secondary and tertiary colours from primary colours. Then, we looked at warm and cold colours. Finally, we investigated how colours opposite one another on the colour wheel are complimentary.
