We have been busy making bird cakes and hanging them up in the school grounds in preparation for our birdwatch event. We have been quiet and patient, birdwatching inside our hide and around the school grounds.
We have engaged in our first Forest School session. We have identified the hazards in order to develop our understanding of the ongoing risk assessment needed to keep us safe. We have also been looking at the features of the immediate outdoor environment.
This half term we are following our interest in minibeasts. This topic has taken our learning out into the great outdoors, to look for minibeasts in their natural habitats. We have selected equipment and resources to help us look at these creatures up close and find out information about them, leading to their classification.
