    Forest School in the snow

    The snow came down fast, as we walked down to Forest School. The trees and the ground were soon covered, so we began to build and create in the trees instead!

    First Forest School Session

    We have engaged in our first Forest School session. We have identified the hazards in order to develop our understanding of the ongoing risk assessment needed to keep us safe. We have also been looking at the features of the immediate outdoor environment.

    This half term we are following our interest in minibeasts. This topic has taken our learning out into the great outdoors, to look for minibeasts in their natural habitats. We have selected equipment and resources to help us look at these creatures up close and find out information about them, leading to their classification.

    We had a visit from Claudius Brutius Maximus, a travelling musician and story teller. He sang to us and told us all about the invasions of Julius Caesar, Caligula and Emperor Claudius.
