Forward As One CE Academy Trust

How far can YOU fly?The Lord is our shepherd...

Welcome to St Chad's Church of England Primary School

A message from Kayleigh Pearson, Headteacher:

I am very proud to be the Headteacher at St Chad’s CE Primary School, working in partnership with Forward as One Church of England Academy Trust and supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff.

St Chad’s Primary is a one-form entry primary school with a new, integrated nursery, serving children from 2-11 years. St Chad’s is a thriving school with a feeling like no other, situated in the heart of the village of Uppermill.

Our motto of ‘How Far will YOU fly?’ is representative of our mission for all pupils, to go as far as they can go in their own lives. We believe our children are the changemakers of the future, and we strive to equip them with an education that ensures they are able to fly as far as they can in the world, well-beyond Year 6.

Our curriculum provides all children with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning for life.

From our senior leaders to our youngest children, we believe that everyone is a leader, regardless of their age or title. Our school departments embody our commitment to service and excellence. Children develop their leadership skills by working collaboratively, making sustained and meaningful impact across our school, trust and wider community.

The ‘feel’ at St Chad’s is something that cannot be explained, although our SIAMS inspection went some way to try! “Positive relationships are at the heart of this school, and well-being is prioritised. The exceptionally strong culture of trust, care and respect is enabling staff, pupils and families to flourish. There is a strong sense of belonging within this highly inclusive, nurturing community.” SIAMS 2025. The only way to get a feel for this

I hope you enjoy finding out more about our school by browsing our website. Visits to school are encouraged and welcomed.

I look forward to meeting you.
