PE
At St Chad's, Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in promoting healthy, active lifestyles and developing a lifelong enjoyment of sport. In EYFS and Key Stage 1, pupils focus on building fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, balance and coordination. As they progress into Key Stage 2, these fundamental skills are further developed and applied across a wide range of sports and physical activities. We are committed to providing an inclusive PE curriculum where every child can participate, achieve and enjoy success. Our extensive range of equipment enables pupils to experience a variety of sports, helping them discover new interests and talents. Beyond curriculum lessons, children can take part in after-school sports clubs, an inclusive sports coaching day designed for everyone to participate, and our annual competitive Sports Day, where teamwork, determination and sportsmanship are celebrated.
